Literacy Aotearoa is involved in the research, development and delivery of a professional development project ‘He Taunga Waka’ to assist those working with Māori and Pasifika learners. He Taunga Waka is a collaborative professional development project being designed and delivered by personnel from Literacy Aotearoa, Ako Aotearoa and NZCER.
"The National Centre of Literacy and Numeracy for Adults is hosted by the University of Waikato and within the Faculty of Education. The National Centre provides professional learning opportunities for the New Zealand tertiary education sector and workforce in the form of workshops, modules, symposia and a tailored advisory service for organisations, educators and managers."
