Literacy Aotearoa Training provides a range of education and training programmes. Click on the acronym or title below to view information about each programme.

• CALT - Literacy Aotearoa Certificate in Adult Literacy Tutoring (the minimum requirement for intending Literacy Aotearoa Adult Literacy Tutors)
• NCALE  - National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Educator)
• NCALE-V  - National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Vocational Tutor / Lecturer or Workplace Trainer)
• Unit Standard 21204 - –‘Develop adult learners’ literacy and numeracy skills within a training or education programme' – Level 5, 30 Credits.  This is the core compulsory Unit Standard for the
  NCALE-V

Regional Training Dates for National Certificates

Literacy Aotearoa Training will deliver the National Qualifications nationwide, in response to demand from the sector. This means that  if we receive at least 8 Registrations of Interest in one of the National Certificates  from any one area, we will negotiate delivery there.
The following dates show when delivery is scheduled for the National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Educator) (NCALE) – please see the qualification acronym below.

NCALE(V) refers to the National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Vocational Tutor/Lecturer or Workplace Trainer).
