Literacy Aotearoa offers the National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Educator) by negotiation, to groups of adult literacy educators (or intending adult literacy educators) around the country.  

 

The Programme History and development of adult literacy in Aotearoa/New Zealand Māori adult literacy Adult literacy teaching and learning theories Assessing adult literacy learning Adult numeracy teaching Design and delivery of literacy skills to an individual Design and delivery of literacy skills to a group (elective) Developing adult literacy and numeracy skills using ICT (elective) Duration Two years, part time.

Further Information:

 

Entry Criteria

• Experience in adult literacy tuition OR intention to become an adult literacy educator;
• Demonstrated ability to complete a programme of study at Level 5;
• New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident status.

Course Fees

Course fees are $2,600.00 (incl. GST). 

There is a limited number of full-fee grants for this programme.
